Church Awaken

We can’t remain asleep
For too long believers in God Almighty, both Jews and Gentiles have been sleeping. It is time to awake and stand up for what we believe! This temporary home we call the world is growing increasingly worse. Evil walks among us and many believers have become complacent and apathetic—particularly under opposition. In the Christian New Testament, the apostle Paul warned his disciple Timothy, “everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived (2 Tim. 3:12-13 NIV).
In Joel Rosenberg’s Last Jihad novel, a Jewish believer noted that “the problem with Americans is that they cannot recognize evil.” Our schools, the media, and an increasingly degenerate culture has deceived us into thinking that everything is all right; that everything will work out for good in the end—a Pollyanna way of thinking. Psychologists describe this as magical thinking.
We talk among ourselves, our neighbors and our church family about the world going to hell in a hand basket and yet that’s all we do—talk. At some level we recognize there is danger among us, but of the natural three responses to danger—to fight, to flee, or to freeze—we have chosen the third—freeze (the deer in the headlights response).
Even the enemy of freedom in America, the community organizer, socialist and author of Rules for Radicals, Saul Alinsky In 1972 described the silent majority as “up for grabs” and promised to “show the middle class their real enemies: the corporate power elite that runs and ruins the country.”  In 1980, Rev. Jerry Falwell, a Baptist leader and founder of Liberty University, proclaimed that “God is calling millions of Americans in the so-often silent majority to join in the moral-majority crusade to turn America around.” For a time, the new moral majority concept prevailed and resulted in the election of Ronald Reagan to the presidency of the United States.
Today, where once Christian morals undergirded our country’s value system, we have degenerated into ways of thinking and acting that are more in accord with pagan ideals than Christian ideals. On the whole we have forgotten who the Lord is. Today, we are better described by the apostle Paul’s words to Timothy; People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power” (2 Tim. 3:1-5 NIV).
We have become the sheeple so loved by evil deceivers such as Saul Alinsky, George Soros, and Barack Obama.
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Eph. 6:12 NIV).
We are in a war against evil
The church is at war against supernatural forces, yet many (most) believers are ignorant of their ability to enter the fight using spiritual weapons—prayer, praise, and the Word of God. As I noted in a previous post, our weapons are not those commonly employed by armies. “We do not fight as the enemy does (2 Cor. 10:3). Our weapons are not worldly (2 Cor. 10:4); they are even more powerful.
The Lord has equipped us to fight the battle
The Lord has imparted to believers both defensive and offensive equipment to respond to the attacks of the evil ones. We must not let that equipment lie idle, but employ it in the battle.
Soldiers fighting in Afghanistan employ the Kevlar armor issued by the Army for defense. Christians muse likewise employ the armor issued by the Lord: Belt of truth, Breastplate of righteousness, Combat boots of the gospel of peace, Shield of faith, and the Helmet of salvation.
Modern soldiers employ a variety of weapons for offense. God has also issued believers offensive weapons: Sword of the Spirit—God’s Word and Prayer in the Spirit. Prayer in this case also includes praise as a weapon. King Jehoshaphat employed praise in his battle against three allied attacking armies with great success (2 Chron. 20).
Vigilance is paramount
Just as an army relies upon vigilance, so the church must be vigilant. Vigilance in a threat environment includes posting of watchmen. Jesus exhorted the church (all mature believers) to be on watch (see Matt. 24:42; 25:13; Mark 13:35-37; Luke 21:36). Armies would post watchmen. Jesus has posted watchmen as well.
Sheepdogs are used to protect defenseless sheep. New believers or those not yet ready for the battle must be protected by the sheepdogs of the church. Sheepdogs will keep the wolves at bay which would attack the sheep. By themselves, sheep tend to ignorantly walk into dangerous situations.
Sheep are naturally ignorant
The writer of the book of Hebrews wrote, “It is hard to explain because you are slow to learn. In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil” (Heb. 5:11-14). Complacency will cause believers to lose the alertness necessary for safety in a dangerous world.
Regular exercise of spiritual disciplines will keep us sharp. Just as physical inactivity will result in physical decline, so spiritual inactivity will result in spiritual decline and loss of the necessary sharpness of spiritual discernment.
Regular attendance at church gatherings for worship, prayer, praise and Bible study; regular reading and meditation on the Word of God (the Bible); and regularly serving others will act to keep one sharp.
Making the most of every opportunity
“Everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: ‘Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.’ Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil” (Eph. 5:13-16 NIV).

Taking the Fight to the Enemy—Part 5

Taking the Fight to the EnemyPart 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4
King David rejoiced
King David epitomized the concept of taking the battle to the enemy. He did not simply wait, but actively pursued those arrayed against him. Before David’s death, it is recorded in 2 Sam. 22:32-50 that he rejoiced in all that God had done for him and through him:
  • It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.
  • He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights.
  • He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
  • You armed me with strength for battle; you made my adversaries bow at my feet.
  • You made my enemies turn their backs in flight, and I destroyed my foes.
  • You have delivered me from the attacks of my people; you have preserved me as the head of nations. People I did not know are subject to me.
  • "The LORD lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God, the Rock, my Savior!
  • He is the God who avenges me, who puts the nations under me.

David was a man with flaws, yet one of whom God commended as “a man after His own heart.” We too, if we strive to be faithful—however imperfectly—can hear those wonderful words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
  • The battle today is Christianity against increasingly overt Evil.
  • We are to don God’s whole armor to ready ourselves for the battle (Eph. 6:10-18).

The goals of communism, masked as socialist objectives are increasingly being realized. Five of the forty five goals are in place right now:
  • Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.
  • Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
  • Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, and healthy.”
  • Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion.  Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”
  • Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”

King Jehoshaphat set an example for all of us to follow as we prepare to engage the enemy.
In Part 4 of this series, passages of scripture describing our response to the growing evil threats was discussed.
We cannot afford to remain complacent of apathetic. Of course, we can always rely on the Lord to fulfill His plans, but God has a part for us to play as well.
Proverbs 3:5-7 says that we are to trust in the Lord with all our heart and rely not on our own powers of reasoning, but rather acknowledge God and watch Him make straight our paths; avoid thinking we are wise enough. We must fear the Lord (which is the beginning of wisdom) and reject evil.
Remember! The battle is not ours, but God’s.

Taking the Fight to the Enemy—Part 4

Taking the Fight to the EnemyPart 1, Part 2, Part 3
We must remember
Some things to keep in mind as we engage the enemy:
  • We do not fight as the enemy does (2 Cor. 10:3). Our weapons are not worldly (2 Cor. 10:4); they are even more powerful.
  • As believers, we will demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God (2 Cor. 10:5). Truth will conquer lies. Everything hidden will be revealed in God’s time.
  • We must capture every thought and submit it obediently to Christ (2 Cor. 10:5). God’s ways are higher than those of any man or organization (Isaiah 55:8-9).
  • We did not receive a spirit that makes us a slave again to fear, but we received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father (Rom. 8:15). We must live in faith, not fear.
  • The face of the Lord is against those who do evil (1 Pet. 3:12).
  • It is dreadful to fall into God’s avenging hands of judgment (Heb. 10:30-31).

Taking the Fight to the Enemy—Part 3

Taking the Fight to the EnemyPart 1, Part 2
An example to follow as we engage the enemy
King Jehoshaphat set an example for all of us to follow as we prepare to engage the enemy. He had a standing army of over 1,160,000 warriors armed for battle and yet he did not rely on his own powerful army to stand against a committed enemy coalition from Ammon, Moab, and Mt. Seir (Edom).
Jehoshaphat first sought the Lord for guidance on how to proceed. He called for a fast and the people came together to seek help from the Lord.
As they did so, one of the Levites arose to communicate God’s plan for them to simply stand firm and watch the Lord do the work—the battle was the Lord’s and not theirs. They were encouraged to take up their positions and see the salvation of the Lord. God said to them, “'Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's.”
Jehoshaphat sent a choir out ahead of the army and they went out praising God. The Lord caused inter-army fighting among the three armies and they all died by one another’s hand.
The point here is that, no matter how well we feel able to use our own resources, ultimately it is the Lord’s battle and He will prevail using His own methods.
We need only to avoid fear and to simply stand firm, trusting in God to make it come out alright. Our part is first to sincerely seek God and then to praise Him—in faith—for the answer as we go forth to witness the destruction of the enemy.
The apostle John records in Revelation that even in the final battle of Armageddon, it is the righteous rider on the white horse (Jesus) who will devastate the attacking armies with a sword from His mouth—the Word of God (Rev. 19:11-15).

Taking the Fight to the Enemy—Part 2

Taking the Fight to the EnemyPart 1
Sin compromises the ability of believers to respond appropriately
When the Israelites crossed the Jordan River into the Promised Land, Joshua discovered the effect of sin on military success. A force of 3000 warriors had been sent to take the city of Ai, were routed and thirty-six Israelite men were killed in the battle. Joshua recognized that something was wrong and sought the Lord to discover the reason. Up until now, the Israelites had been singularly successful in battle. The Lord told Joshua that one of the Israelites had stolen goods devoted to the Lord.
Joshua initiated a search and found that a man name Achan had done the deed. Achan and his family were taken to the Valley of Achor, stoned and burned as a consequence of Achan’s sin. Sin not only hurts the sinner, but those around as well.
The next time a force was sent to take Ai, they were successful. Cleansing the camp of sin was the key to success.
Today, many Christians have chosen to adopt the ways of the world and likewise are bringing judgment on the Body of Christ. It’s wonderful to be a born-again believer, just not a compromiser. Back in the ancient times of the 1960s, divorce among believers was much less than now. Today believers are actually exceeding the divorce rate of unbelievers according to several studies done in the last five years.
Sin has undesirable consequences. “[I]f you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God” (Rom. 8:13-14 NIV).
The moral failure of pastors has become a disgrace for the church. Professing Christians are cohabiting as much as unbelievers. Premarital sex and sex outside of the marriage covenant is all too common among young Christians.
The forty-five goals of communism include these five:

These goals are being accomplished through the takeover of our educational system; print media, TV and motion picture media; and governmental programs. These takeovers resulted from achieving other communist goals and the Church letting it happen.
When I use the word Church, by that I mean the totality of professing born-again, committed believers.
As believers become aware of sin, they must repent and seek God’s forgiveness. Only then will His provision be available again to protect them and allow victory over the wiles of the enemy.

Taking the Fight to the Enemy—Part 1

The battle today is Christianity against increasingly overt Evil. The apostle Paul wrote over 2000 years ago that “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces in the heavenly realms.”
Today, we are engaged in a life struggle against the agenda of communism and socialism which are both representative of the evil undercurrent coursing through the world. Add to that the jihad projects of Islam which seeks to introduce an essentially pagan religion and its system of governance of the world.
World political powers of the United Nations are working diligently to throttle God’s people of the Judeo-Christian stripe by establishment of global laws which deny the human rights of Jewish and Christian believers. Even labeling their efforts evil is being called hate speech and soon may be punishable under global laws passed and administered by the UN.
The strategy being used suppresses discussion and objection to these efforts by labeling them with culturally objectionable terms: bigotry, racism, hate speech, Islamophobia, homophobia, etc.
By controlling the message and information flow in the media, entertainment, politics, science, and education, the evil powers are subverting the rights of people to live happy and productive lives in liberty and freedom. Rather the evil powers would suggest that humankind must subordinate individual rights to the good of the whole.
Organizational documents like the United States Constitution are characterized as out of touch and needing revision or destruction. The United States was founded on principles drawn from the Judeo-Christian scriptures recorded under God’s direction and honoring the freedom of individuals to thrive or fail while aiming for the very best and highest goals.
Communist, socialist, progressive, and Islamic movements seek to substitute their own system of laws and rules; most of which are counter to the Constitution. How do they do this? By using words and concepts that sound fine until examined by the fruit that results: anarchy, control, restrictions for anyone disagreeing with the concepts. They value perception rather than truth. In their schema, Perception is Truth—there are no absolutes. This stands counter to truth revealed in the Bible.
Full Armor of God
The apostle Paul identified in Ephesians 6:10-18 an attitude we are to adopt—standing firm (on the Rock–Jesus Christ) and seven pieces of armor we are to don and employ for the battle:
  • Waist buckled by the belt of truth to protect our vital organs.
  • Righteousness as a breastplate protects our heart.
  • Feet fitted with the gospel of peace protect our walk with Christ.
  • The shield of faith diverts the enemy’s intended harm from us.
  • The helmet of salvation protects our mind and thought life and helps remind us of our position as valued children of God.
  • The Word of God as a sword is the first offensive weapon to counter the enemies attacks.
  • Voicing prayer in the Spirit, at all times and places, constitutes the second offensive weapon for a communication link to God to call in strikes on the enemy.

Note: Five of these items are defensive in nature and two are offensive in nature.

Under the Radar

The underlying premise in Spiritual Tsunami:Bible Prophecy and World Events are Converging is that there are things occurring outside the average person’s awareness. I refer to such events as taking place “under the radar.”
Tsunamis in nature begin in the hidden world under the sea, and are typically generated by underwater earthquakes (“seaquakes”) caused by a shift of the earth’s tectonic plates. As the water is displaced it travels to the shores both near and far, building in destructive force, finally wreaking great havoc upon its arrival at those shores. At first, the world remains unaware of the developing tsunami and then, if tsunami sensors pick up the disturbance, warnings are sent out to let people in the affected areas know of its coming. If sensors are disabled or unavailable to provide adequate warning, tremendous damage and death can result.
A tactic often used in warfare is for aircraft or missiles to fly so low that they pass under radar beams intended to protect a country’s territory and are able to attack and destroy the unprotected country.
Both tsunamis and flying under the radar utilize deception. Both are based on ignorance of the facts.
The oldest military treatise in the world penned 2400 years ago by Chinese General Sun Tsu asserted that all warfare is based on deception. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive, when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near. Hold out baits to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and crush him.
Sun Tsu also said:
When you engage in actual fighting, if victory is long in coming, the men's weapons will grow dull and their ardor will be damped. If you lay siege to a town, you will exhaust your strength. Again, if the campaign is protracted, the resources of the State will not be equal to the strain.
Now, when your weapons are dulled, your ardor damped, your strength exhausted and your treasure spent, other chieftains will spring up to take advantage of your extremity. Then no man, however wise, will be able to avert the consequences that must ensue.
Thus, though we have heard of stupid haste in war, cleverness has never been associated with long delays. There is no instance of a country having been benefited from prolonged warfare.
It is only one who is thoroughly acquainted with the evils of war that can thoroughly understand the profitable way of carrying it on. . . On the other hand, the proximity of an army causes prices to go up; and high prices cause the people's substance to be drained away.
When their substance is drained away, the peasantry will be afflicted by heavy exactions.
With this loss of subsistence and exhaustion of strength, the homes of the people will be stripped bare and three-tenths of their incomes will be dissipated; while Government expenses for broken chariots, worn-out horses, breast-plates and helmets, bows and arrows, spears and shields, protective mantlets [sp], draught-oxen and heavy wagons, will amount to four-tenths of its total revenue.
Excerpt from The Art of War by Sun Tsu
The socialist Fabian Society, a British socialist organization adopted similar tactics for transforming society and fundamentally changing its values through a slow, steady influence. Fabian socialists were manifested in America in the form of Students for a Democratic Society and its derivative, the Weather Underground. One of Barack Obama’s mentors, Bill Ayers, was active in both organizations.
It is interesting that many ‘60s radicals (Ayers among them) are now tenured professors in colleges and universities forming the thinking of our young adults in higher education.
Drawing on the thinking of Karl Marx (author of the Communist Manifesto), an Italian political philosopher by the name of Antonio Gramsci helped develop the ideology of Saul Alinsky, a communist radical and author of Rules for Radicals which Obama used for several years to teach community organizers in Chicago. Alinsky’s rules are being used today in the political life of our President:
Alinsky provides a collection of rules to guide the process. But he emphasizes these rules must be translated into real-life tactics that are fluid and responsive to the situation at hand.
Rule 1: Power is not only what you have, but what an opponent thinks you have. If your organization is small, hide your numbers in the dark and raise a din that will make everyone think you have many more people than you do.
Rule 2: Never go outside the experience of your people.
The result is confusion, fear, and retreat.
Rule 3: Whenever possible, go outside the experience of an opponent. Here you want to cause confusion, fear, and retreat.
Rule 4: Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. “You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”
Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.
Rule 6: A good tactic is one your people enjoy. “If your people aren’t having a ball doing it, there is something very wrong with the tactic.”
Rule 7: A tactic that drags on for too long becomes a drag. Commitment may become ritualistic as people turn to other issues.
Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to react to your advantage.”
Rule 9: The threat is more terrifying than the thing itself. When Alinsky leaked word that large numbers of poor people were going to tie up the washrooms of O’Hare Airport, Chicago city authorities quickly agreed to act on a longstanding commitment to a ghetto organization. They imagined the mayhem as thousands of passengers poured off airplanes to discover every washroom occupied. Then they imagined the international embarrassment and the damage to the city’s reputation.
Rule 10: The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Avoid being trapped by an opponent or an interviewer who says, “Okay, what would you do?”
Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame.
According to Alinsky, the main job of the organizer is to bait an opponent into reacting. “The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.”
We need to wonder what the goal of these radicals is. The goal is the gradual grinding down of American values about which Joseph Stalin noted, “America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within.”
The Communist movement has long set out to achieve a list of 45 goals which would ultimately transform America into a big-government, socialist/communist society.
Some of the goals include:
  • Discrediting the American Constitution.
  • Supporting any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture–education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
  • Infiltrating the press. Controlling the information being disseminated.
  • Eliminating prayer or any form of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”
  • Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum.  Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
  • Promote homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, and healthy.”
  • Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

The communists have been successful in reaching these goals.
After a century of continually grinding down American values, mocking them, and insisting on tolerating beliefs contrary to those upon which our nation was founded, many of the goals have been substantially achieved. We live in a frog in the kettle world! The temperature of the opposition’s flooding of American with their aberrant, unchristian values has lulled us to sleep or near-sleep.
More recently, Islam has battered against the values of our country.
We are closer to the realization of Sharia law in America. Suppression of free speech and open discussion of differences is growing. If the UN has its way, any negative characterization of Islam will become punishable by law.
Today we are also finding our country besieged by foreign religious values. While we pride ourselves on not being a religious nation, our core values were birthed from the Judeo-Christian scriptures.
“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”                                                                                                                             John Adams

America — it’s time to wake up and resist with all prayer the insidious efforts to derail our values!
The curtain has not yet fallen—although the ropes are being loosened—there is still time for supplication to Almighty God. I recommend the prayer in 2 Chron. 7:14 as a starting place, but only after fulfilling the exhortation in Romans 12:1-2.
I heartedly recommend viewing two documentaries:

Facts Underlying the World Condition

The Manufacturers’ Handbook (my name for the Christian Bible) reveals the reasons why the world is as it is today.
2000 years ago a man by the name of Saul, born in Tarsus in Asia and writing with his new name of Paul, wrote:
But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. (Romans 3:21-26 NIV)
Paul, a late appointed apostle of Jesus Christ, was reflecting on the reality of man from the viewpoint of the Creator of the Universe. Earlier in his letter to Christians in Rome, Paul countered some very faulty logic on the part of some who had heard about this God worshipped by the Jews and some convinced Gentiles. He wrote for all to consider:
What advantage, then, is there in being a Jew, or what value is there in circumcision? Much in every way! First of all, they have been entrusted with the very words of God. What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God's faithfulness? Not at all! Let God be true, and every man a liar. As it is written: "So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge." But if our unrighteousness brings out God's righteousness more clearly, what shall we say? That God is unjust in bringing his wrath on us? (I am using a human argument.) Certainly not! If that were so, how could God judge the world? Someone might argue, "If my falsehood enhances God's truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?" Why not say—as we are being slanderously reported as saying and as some claim that we say—"Let us do evil that good may result"? Their condemnation is deserved. (Romans 3:1-8 NIV)
The apostle suggests that our conclusion must be one more consistent with reality, as he said:
What shall we conclude then? Are we any better? Not at all! We have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under sin. As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one." "Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit." "The poison of vipers is on their lips." "Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness."  "Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know." "There is no fear of God before their eyes." (Romans 3:9-18 NIV)
Note the list of failings he cited:
  • None are righteous.
  • All lack understanding.
  • None seek God.
  • All have turned away [from God] and become worthless.
  • None do good.
  • Like open graves, full of death, they practice deceit.
  • They run to shed blood.
  • Ruin and misery mark their ways.
  • They know nothing of peace.

And the ultimate denunciation:
  • They do not fear God.

The unbelieving world is “hoisted on their own petard”. Like the builders of the ancient Tower of Babel, unbelievers attempt to do what they want, ignoring their Creator, and fail to achieve their goal of omniscience and omnipotence. Such shall be as many are, being judged for their arrogance.
God reminded the Israelites that they should:
Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:6-9 NIV)
As a world, we are missing the mark. God’s ultimate judgment is closer now than at any time in history.
If we are driving and see the flashing lights at a train crossing, the obvious intelligent thing to do is to obey the sign and avoid being crushed by the coming train.
There is a train approaching the world and God is flashing signs warning us. What will we do? How will we respond?
Will we decide that we can risk crossing in front of the train and become road kill? Or will we take heed, seek God and live?
The choice is yours! The answers are clearly shown in the Manufacturers’ Handbook. Fool or wise man or woman. Which shall it be?

To Recover From a Stolen Election

Given the likelihood of an illegal and fraudulent election—based on the many reports by citizens—to recover we must:
  • Declare the recent election invalid.
  • Require submission of irrefutable and, incontrovertible evidence of citizenship by both party’s presidential and vice presidential candidates.
  • Immediately investigate and require evidence of voter fraud.
  • Prosecute to the fullest extent of the law all violations of election laws, including contributions to the candidate’s campaigns and fraudulent attempts or actual repeat voting.
  • Immediately investigate all instances of undue influence by agents of influence connected in any way to terrorist organizations; including unindicted co-conspirators of terror-related trials. Prosecute anyone perpetrating or accepting such influence to the fullest extent of the law.
  • Publish and re-supply new ballots to all voting precincts and deliver to all absentee voters—especially members of the armed forces serving away from their home of record—to enable a new election to be conducted.
  • Establish bi-partisan monitoring—by American citizens only—at each polling station, of both the voting and the counting of ballots.
  • Require proof of citizenship of each voter and identification by picture ID at all polling places.

Election Illustrates the Symptoms

The 2012 Presidential election clearly shows the depth to which the United States has fallen morally and ethically. The standards in place at the time of the founding of our country are no longer the standards we follow in our national behavior.

Jonathan Cahn in his book Harbinger, cites the writing of the Old Testament prophet Isaiah who once warned Israel about their soon demise which was to result from their refusal to adhere to God’s guidelines. Because Israel failed to obey God and instead applied their own powers of reason to develop solutions to immanent threats from Assyria, they fell into economic ruin, moral decline and, ultimately captivity

“If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.”

God commissioned Isaiah to:

Go and tell this people: “‘Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving.' Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed. (Isaiah 6:9 NIV)

Like Israel in Isaiah’s day, we have become self-confident and arrogant, forgetting that our nation was founded on basic Christian principles.

  • The Judeo-Christian scriptures were the principle source of moral teaching.
  • Our laws were based on English Common Law which drew their origin from Christian teachings.
  • Even those personally unfamiliar with Jesus Christ as a personal savior were familiar with Biblical moral and ethical standards.
  • Though a number of our founding fathers did not consider themselves good Christians—a number were Deists—they still valued and honored the Christian moral standards commonly accepted by society at that time.
  • Christian moral standards were embedded in our founding documents and were assumed to be the guiding principles by which our new government would be run.

Isaiah wrote several “woes” to Israel:

  • Woe to those who call evil good and good evil.
  • [Woe to those] who put darkness for light and light for darkness.
  • [Woe to those] who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.
  • Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight.
  • Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine and champions at mixing drinks.
  • [Woe to those] who acquit the guilty for a bribe, but deny justice to the innocent.

He then chides them for rejecting “the law of the Lord Almighty” and spurning “the word of the Holy One of Israel.” Israel forgot who their source is and substituted their own skills, knowledge, and wisdom for that of the Creator of the Universe. (Isaiah 5:20-24)

In this election, we saw:

  • Overt lying by the incumbent presidential candidate and his sycophants.
  • Reports of election fraud in a number of precincts.
  • Refusal to provide evidence of citizenship eligibility and blocking of honest attempts to validate eligibility.
  • Evidence of arrogance and an attitude of being “wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight.”
  • Misrepresentation of facts to Democratic constituents.
  • Denial of opportunities for military members to vote by diversion or restriction of delivery of the necessary absentee ballots.

Where is the outrage? Where is the demand for investigation of the anomalies? Where is the timely follow-up to the events in Libya which resulted in the death of four Americans? Where is the call for cessation of influence by foreign agents within our government?

Evangelical Christians substantially stayed away from the polls because of their dislike of a candidate who follows a religion which many categorize as a cult.

Nowhere in the Constitution is there a requirement for a religious test for eligibility to serve in the nation’s top executive office.

Christians are allowing themselves to fall into the pit that captured Israel during Isaiah’s time. As an evangelical Christian, I cannot fathom the immaturity and lack of faith that motivated standing back from the responsibility as believers to speak out via the ballot box against the immoral and unethical actions of an administration which is working apace to destroy our nation.

This is tolerance and stupidity run amuck!

Christians, grow up and follow the biblical exhortation in Romans 12:1-2! We must repent and seek God afresh and anew! Let our minds be renewed by the Holy Spirit! “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Your collaboration in the demise of our nation is not helpful.
Americans, let go of your entitlement mentality and victimhood. If you did not work for it, you did not earn it!

So, what can we do?

  • Call, write, and e-mail your legislators to insist they stand up for what you sent them to Congress to do!
  • If they fail to adhere to the oath they swore to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, bring them home at the next election.
  • Speak up at every opportunity to those in authority.
  • Don’t accept poor performance in our government.
  • Pray.
  • Seek God’s forgiveness for our national sins.
  • Repent.
  • Turn to God.
  • Accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.

What a Difference between Then and Now!

Back in the day things were a lot different. Values were held sacred. Harry Truman, while a staunch Democrat, adhered to his values and responsibility.
Harry Truman was a different kind of President. He probably made as many, or more important decisions regarding our nation's history as any of the other 32 Presidents preceding him. However, a measure of his greatness may rest on what he did after he left the White House.
The only asset he had when he died was the house he lived in, which was in Independence Missouri. His wife had inherited the house from her mother and father and other than their years in the White House, they lived their entire lives there.
When he retired from office in 1952 his income was a U.S. Army pension reported to have been $13,507.72 a year.
Congress, noting that he was paying for his stamps and personally licking them, granted him an 'allowance' and, later, a retroactive pension of $25,000 per year.
After President Eisenhower was inaugurated, Harry and Bess drove home to Missouri by themselves. There was no Secret Service following them.
When offered corporate positions at large salaries, he declined, stating, "You don't want me. You want the office of the President, and that doesn't belong to me. It belongs to the American people and it's not for sale."
Even later, on May 6, 1971, when Congress was preparing to award him the Medal of Honor on his 87th birthday, he refused to accept it, writing, "I don't consider that I have done anything which should be the reason for any award, Congressional or otherwise."
As president he paid for all of his own travel expenses and food.
Modern politicians have found a new level of success in cashing in on the Presidency, resulting in untold wealth. Today, many in Congress also have found a way to become quite wealthy while enjoying the fruits of their offices. Political offices are now for sale (cf. Illinois).
Good old Harry Truman was correct when he observed, "My choices in life were either to be a piano player in a whore house or a politician. And to tell the truth, there's hardly any difference!
I say dig him up and clone him!
If only today’s politicians would emulate Truman—at least in these attributes—we would have a better world.

Obama—Soros’ Puppet or Co-conspirator

Values shared by both Obama & Soros:
Obama says, as reported in a Washington Post opinion blog by Jennifer Rubin on July 17, 2012:
A central government — not individuals — deserves the credit for building successful businesses. This sentiment makes for terrible economics, but also reveals a confused morality. In a free community, everyone co-operates by voluntarily offering unique gifts: some invent, some invest, others labor, or sell while customers reward the best producers and providers by buying their products and services . . .  A free economy and strong communities are the best means to reward effort with justice, to promote upward mobility, and to build solidarity among citizens. The President’s vision of a government-centered society — reflected in both his troubling rhetoric and his failed policies — belittles fair rewards for labor and enterprise.
Emily Miller reported in a Washington Times opinion blog on May 18, 2012:
President Obama’s disdain for free enterprise is starting to offend even his fellow Democrats. In a rare breach of loyalty, Mr. Obama’s political allies have publicly criticized campaign attacks on GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s business success. It’s a sign the president’s re-election campaign has strayed far outside the American mainstream.
Soros said, according to an article on the Discover the Networks web site:
“The entire edifice of global financial markets has been erected on the false premise that markets can be left to their own devices,” says Soros. “We must find a new paradigm and rebuild from the ground up.” According to Soros, the capitalist “belief that everybody pursuing his self-interest will maximize the common interest . . . is a false idea.” Calling the global capitalist system “deeply flawed,” Soros maintains that “as long as capitalism remains triumphant, the pursuit of money overrides all other social considerations.” As Soros sees things, capitalism “is today a greater threat than any totalitarian ideology.” Lamenting that “the richest 1 percent of the world's population receive as much as the poorest 57 percent,” Soros suggests that only by reining in “global capitalism” can that gap be narrowed. He further complains that global capitalism, by encouraging the free flow of money across international borders, reduces the vital “ability of the state to provide Social Security to its citizens.” “The globalization of financial markets has rendered the welfare state that came into existence after World War II obsolete,” Soros explains, “because the people who require a social safety net cannot leave the country, but the capital the welfare state used to tax can.”
Call for Global Government
Soros's desire for a worldwide welfare structure is consistent with his general preference for some form of global government. In 1998 he wrote that “insofar as there are collective interests that transcend state boundaries, the sovereignty of states must be subordinated to international law and international institutions.” “The greatest opposition to this idea,” he added somberly, “is coming from the United States.”
Soros said at an event in 2003:
“I think you put your finger on a very important flaw in the current world order. And that is that only Americans have a vote in Congress. And yet it is the United States that basically determines policy for the world. That is a flaw in the current setup. I don't think you can correct it by giving the Chinese government a vote in Congress. But it is a flaw, and I think this is where American leadership is needed, to take into account and respect the interests of others as well, in order to retain the dominant position we currently enjoy.”
Likewise, following the mentorship of his family and also Frank Marshall Davis, an avowed communist, it is said of Obama’s position:
This call for increased “foreign influence” in American political life is congruent with President Obama's position on the matter. In March 2009, for instance, Obama appointed Harold Koh, the dean of Yale Law School, as legal advisor to the U.S. State Department. Koh is an advocate of transnationalism, a concept arguing in favor of “global governance” as opposed to the constitutional sovereignty of independent nation-states.
Fiscal Policy
Just a few days after Barack Obama was elected President, George Soros stated: “I think we need a large stimulus package which will provide funds for state and local government to maintain their budgets because they are not allowed by the constitution to run a deficit.
Interestingly, as reported by Discover the Networks, “Soon thereafter, as one of the first priorities of his presidency, Obama pressured Congress to pass a monumental $787 billion economic-stimulus bill whose text was 1,071 pages long and which few, if any, legislators read before voting on it.”
In a 2008 interview with Bill Moyers, George Soros derided wealthy Americans who wished to have their tax burden lightened. According to Soros, such people were selfishly eager to “enjo[y] the fruits” of their affluence even as they viewed the act of “paying taxes” as “an absolute no-no”—indeed something veritably “unpatriotic.” . . . Soros's public stance in favor of higher tax rates for the wealthy is nothing short of remarkable, in light of the fact that he himself has taken some noteworthy measures to avoid paying taxes of his own.
Likewise, again, as reported by Discover the Networks, “Barack Obama's long track record in support of high income taxes, capital gains taxes, and estate taxes for ‘the wealthy’ is well documented. Thus it was not surprising that Obama, through most of his early presidency, adamantly opposed any extension of the Bush tax cuts beyond their scheduled expiration date. But as the economy foundered and the President's popularity waned—to say nothing of the historic losses suffered by congressional Democrats in the midterm elections—Obama began to restrict his calls for a tax hike only to those in the highest income brackets. In the end, the President, recognizing that the electorate fiercely opposed higher taxes for anyone, pragmatically agreed to extend all the Bush tax cuts for two more years—a move that displeased George Soros greatly.”
Environmental and Energy Policy
George Soros is an avid proponent of cap-and-trade.
Barack Obama, like Soros, is an unwavering backer of cap-and-trade.
A “Living” Constitution
Discover the Networks reported about both Soros and Obama”
With fidelity to his “open society” tenet that truth is an ever-evolving and ever-elusive concept, George Soros firmly rejects the notion that the U.S. Constitution is a document of unique or unrivaled merit or, by logical extension, that its original intent must be permanently revered and adhered to, rather than deconstructed or reinterpreted as the changing needs and preferences of the times may dictate. In April 2005, Soros's Open Society Institute was a leading financial sponsor of a Yale Law School conference called “The Constitution in 2020,” promoted as an effort to produce “a progressive vision of what the Constitution ought to be.” . . .
Barack Obama, who himself has openly vowed to “fundamentally transform” the United States, shares precisely this same view of the Constitution. In his 2006 book The Audacity of Hope, Obama wrote that the Constitution “is not a static but rather a living document and must be read in the context of an ever-changing world.”
Viewing the Constitution as a dynamic or “living” document, essentially means that it may be interpreted by those in power to suit their purposes or cast aside as irrelevant.
Promoting Socialized Medicine in the United States
George Soros has long favored a greater role for government in the American healthcare system. During the political debate over “Obamacare” in 2009 and 2010, one of the most influential pro-reform coalitions was Health Care for America Now (HCAN), a vast network of organizations supporting, ideally, a “single-payer” model where the federal government would be in charge of financing and administering the entire U.S. healthcare system. . . . In August 2009, Soros pledged to give HCAN $5 million to promote its campaign for reform.
Terrorism as a Criminal Matter, Rather Than an Act of War
Ever since the al Qaeda attacks of 9/11, George Soros has emphasized that it is “more appropriate” for the U.S. government to treat such events as “crimes against humanity” rather than acts of war. He advocates a proper response to involve “police work, not military action.”
During Obama’s campaign and, indeed, immediately following his inauguration, his first act as U.S. President was to order the suspension of all military tribunals that had been established to adjudicate the cases of terror suspects at the Guantanamo Bay detention center, which continued to house more than 200 al Qaeda and Taliban combatants captured by the American military during its post-9/11 wars in the Mideast.
Obama, like Soros, favors a criminal-justice-oriented approach to terrorism and thus would prefer to try the perpetrators in civilian court where they would enjoy the enhanced rights and protections that such courts afford to all defendants.
"Responsibility to Protect"
World Net Daily suggested:
The Responsibility to Protect doctrine has been described by its founders and proponents, including Soros, as promoting global governance while allowing the international community to penetrate a nation state’s borders under certain conditions. . . Philanthropist billionaire George Soros is a primary funder and key proponent of the global organization that promotes the military doctrine used by the Obama administration to justify the recent airstrikes targeting the regime of Moammar Gadhafi in Libya.
Obama was advised by Samantha Power, the National Security Council special adviser to Obama on human rights. Power is closely tied to the doctrine’s founder.
More Soros-Obama Connections
Prominent individuals with close political ties to Barack Obama on the one hand, and who also have been influenced in some significant way by George Soros's money, on the other include: Van Jones, a self-professed revolutionary communist; Former New Leftist Andrew Stern served as president of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), the second-largest labor union in North America; David Axelrod, a key strategist for Barak Obama with ties to the Media Fund, a Soros-backed Shadow Party organization; Carol Browner Obama’s “environment czar” who had previously been a “commissioner” with Socialist International, a Soros-backed organization; Mark Lloyd, Obama's diversity chief at the Federal Communications Commission; and Jim Wallis, spiritual advisor to President Obama and beneficiary of grants to Sojourners (a leftist publication he founded) from George Soros' Open Society Institute.
Is there enough convergence between Soros and Obama to raise your suspicions about Obama being a puppet of Soros? Some have raised the question of Soros being the Antichrist. Surely, the things he has done and the policies he advocates and supports should give one pause to reflect on the question.
If not, you just have not been paying attention. See my blog entitled, Winds and Waves-Expanded.
