During the previous three Presidential administrations, our leaders have unwisely allowed wolves into our government, hence the title of this blog. Hopefully, the Trump administration will fully “drain the swamp” as he promised.
The Muslim Brotherhood, an unindicted coconspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial in Texas several years ago, has been able to place their operatives into positions of influence and power in the Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama administrations.
This is in accord with a Muslim Brotherhood plan for what is called civilization or stealth jihad. The goal of jihad is to turn the Western world upside down by making it an Islamic world totally conforming to shariah law.
Shariah law is antithetical to the U. S. Constitution in every way. See the excerpt below from an important report prepared in 2010. The Constitution’s Article VI Supremacy Clause, which requires that the Constitution “shall be the supreme Law of the land” does not allow for any foreign laws to supersede it.
“We the People” created the Constitution; Supposedly, Allah created Shariah law and allows for no other human input. Islam is a complete system of political, military, societal, and religious interaction that is codified in shariah and allows only adherent Muslims to function in positions of authority. The U.S. Constitution is more egalitarian and allows for modification by “we the people.” Shariah is intolerant. The Constitution embodies religious tolerance and does not require any particular religious belief system.
An excerpt from Shariah: The Threat to America: An Exercise in Competitive Analysis: A report of Team B II (pp 223-228) is cited below.

The Founders and Islam
America’s earliest presidents best understood our founding principles. They were not only deeply involved with their formal adoption. They were professionally competent. When confronted with an Islamic threat, they took the effort to consult primary sources and to conduct competent analysis of that threat.
The first Muslim member of the House of Representatives [Keith Ellison, a convert from his Catholic upbringing to Islam at the age of 19] recently made a spectacle of being sworn in on a copy of the Quran, rather than the Bible. He deflected some criticism by using one owned by Thomas Jefferson. Unremarked in all the controversy that ensued was the reason why our third President came to own a Quran.
In 1786, Thomas Jefferson, ambassador to France, and John Adams, ambassador to England, met with the emissary of the Islamic potentates of Tripoli to Britain, Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja, regarding the demands for tribute being made at the time by the so-called Barbary Pirates.
Afterwards, Jefferson and Adams sent a four-page report to the Congress describing this meeting. The relevant portion of their report reads:
We took the liberty to make some inquiries concerning the Grounds of their pretentions to make war upon Nations who had done them no Injury, and observed that we considered all mankind as our friends who had done us no wrong, nor had given us any provocation.
The Ambassador answered us that it was founded on the Laws of their prophet, that it was written in their Qur’an, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman [Muslim] who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.
After this, Jefferson read the Quran in order to know his enemy. That knowledge of his adversary led to his doctrine of “Millions for defense, but not one cent for tribute.”
John Adams’ son, John Quincy Adams, whose formative years coincided with the founding of the republic, offers further insights into the early presidents’ views on this subject. Like many Americans, he took an oath to uphold and defend the U.S. Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic. And, when faced with an Islamic enemy, he understood his obligation to be educated on the factual aspects of the principles, doctrines, objectives, jurisprudence and theology of shariah that comprised his enemy’s threat doctrine.
John Quincy Adams’ 136-page series of essays on Islam displayed a clear understanding of the threat facing America then – and now, especially from the permanent Islamic institutions of jihad and dhimmitude. Regarding these two topics, Adams states:
…[Mohammed] declared undistinguishing and exterminating war, as a part of his religion, against all the rest of mankind….The precept of the Quran is, perpetual war against all who deny, that [Mohammed] is the prophet of God.
The vanquished [dhimmi] may purchase their lives, by the payment of tribute.”
As the essential principle of [Mohammed’s] faith is the subjugation of others by the sword; it is only by force, that his false doctrines can be dispelled, and his power annihilated. The commands of the prophet may be performed alike, by fraud, or by force.
This appeal to the natural hatred of the Mussulmen [Muslim] towards the infidels is in just accordance with the precepts of the Quran. The document [the Quran] does not attempt to disguise it, nor even pretend that the enmity of those whom it styles the infidels, is any other than the necessary consequence of the hatred borne by the Mussulmen to them – the paragraph itself, is a forcible example of the contrasted character of the two religions.
The fundamental doctrine of the Christian religion is the extirpation of hatred from the human heart. It forbids the exercise of it, even towards enemies. There is no denomination of Christians, which denies or misunderstands this doctrine. All understand it alike – all acknowledge its obligations; and however imperfectly, in the purposes of Divine Providence, its efficacy has been shown in the practice of Christians, it has not been wholly inoperative upon them. Its effect has been upon the manners of nations. It has mitigated the horrors of war – it has softened the features of slavery – it has humanized the intercourse of social life.
The unqualified acknowledgement of a duty does not, indeed, suffice to insure its performance. Hatred is yet a passion, but too powerful upon the hearts of Christians. Yet they cannot indulge it, except by the sacrifice of their principles, and the conscious violation of their duties. No state paper from a Christian hand, could, without trampling the precepts of its Lord and Master, have commenced by an open proclamation of hatred to any portion of the human race. The Ottoman lays it down as the foundation of his discourse.
As we have seen . . ., Adams’ analysis of the meaning of jihad is validated in the English-language translation of the authoritative 14th Century text, Reliance of the Traveller – A Classic Manual of Islamic Sacred Law. This book reveals in its opening chapter on Jihad:
o9.0 – Jihad. Jihad means to wage war against non-Muslims, and is etymologically derived from the word mujahada, signifying warfare to establish the religion.…The scriptural basis for jihad, prior to scholarly consensus (def: b7) is such Quranic verses as: (1) “Fighting is prescribed for you” (Quran 2:216); (2) “Slay them wherever you find them” (Quran 4:89); (3) “Fight the idolaters utterly” (Quran 9:36); …I have been commanded to fight people until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Mohammed is the messenger of Allah, and perform the prayer, and pay zakat. If they say it, they have saved their blood and possessions from me, except for rights of Islam over them.
In conclusion, it is clear from the writings of several of our earliest presidents, as well as the texts of the nation’s founding documents, that American principles are not at odds with – and imperiled by – some “radical” or “extreme” version of Islam. Rather, it is the mainstream doctrine of shariah that constitutes the threat to the U.S. Constitution and the freedoms it enshrines.
That incompatibility has several practical implications: For one thing, the shariah legal code cannot be insinuated into America – even through stealthy means or democratic processes – without violating the Constitution’s Article VI Supremacy Clause, which requires that the Constitution “shall be the supreme Law of the land.”
For another, those who advocate the imposition of shariah in America must be considered ineligible to serve in the military, or hold state or federal office, insofar as Article VI requires them to swear an “oath…to support this Constitution” – not any other legal code, like shariah. The same disqualifier would appear to govern with respect to immigrants or would-be naturalized citizens.
Lastly, advocacy of and engagement in jihad, of even the dawa [Non-violent] variety, for the purpose of imposing shariah, supplanting the Constitution and overthrowing the government it mandates would – as a practical matter – constitute a felony violation of the U.S. Code’s prohibitions on treason, sedition and subversive activities.
From its founding, America has had a great tradition of tolerance and inclusion, on a mutual basis. Our latter day tendencies, however, for cultural diversity, political correctness and unreciprocated ecumenism – all seen by our enemies as submission and the subject of the following chapter – must not be allowed to create vehicles for our national destruction at the hands of those all-too-willing to use our civil liberties against us toward that end. In World War II, Americans would never have proposed that fascist or Nazi doctrine had some political or moral equivalency with American principles. We rightly identified the two as being completely and unalterably at odds. Today’s mortal peril, shariah, must be viewed and treated the same way.
. . . the relevant, seminal texts concerning shariah are available in English from online booksellers and in mosque bookstores across America. It is, consequently, inexcusable for our political elites to be ignorant of the doctrines that guide shariah-adherent organizations like the Muslim Brotherhood’s Islamic Society of North America, the Council on American Islamic Relations, the North American Islamic Trust, etc. as well as al Qaeda, Hezbollah, Hamas, and their ideological cousins.
Even more reprehensible is the willingness of some among America’s elites, and it would appear even a subset of its elected leaders, to accede to these groups’ increasingly insistent contention that shariah is compatible with the U.S. Constitution. In fact, based on shariah’s tenets, its core attributes – especially its intolerance of other faiths and disfavored populations and its bid for supremacy over all other legal or political systems, there can be no confusion on this score: As the Framers fully understood, shariah is an enemy of the United States Constitution. The two are incompatible.

From an analysis of Islamic Shariah by a team of researchers:
Shariah dictates a comprehensive and totalitarian system of laws, an aggressive military doctrine, an all-encompassing socio-economic program and a ruthless enforcement mechanism. It is, in short, a complete way of life. It is against this backdrop that the obligation shariah demands of its followers – namely, to conduct a global campaign to replace non-Muslim governments with Islamic States governed by Islamic law, to conquer Dar al-Harb (the House of War) for Dar al-Islam (the House of Islam) – must be seen as an illegal effort to supplant our Constitution with another legal code, not a religious practice protected by that document. Islamic scholar Majid Khadduri put it this way: “It follows that the existence of a Dar al-Harb is ultimately outlawed under the Islamic jural order; that the dar al-Islam is permanently under jihad obligation until the Dar al-Harb is reduced to nonexistence; and that any community accepting certain disabilities – must submit to Islamic rule and reside in the dar al-Islam or be bound as clients to the Muslim community. The universalism of Islam, in its all-embracing creed, is imposed on the believers as a continuous process of warfare, psychological and political if not strictly military.”
Yet, many in this country – particularly in governmental, academic, and media elites – have shown themselves susceptible to the Muslim Brotherhood’s strategy for waging sabotage against the United States in order to destroy “its miserable house…by their own hand.” They are enabling shariah’s spread by enforcing a tolerance of that doctrine under the rubric of freedom of religion and diversity, instead of recognizing it for the seditious and anti-constitutional agenda it openly espouses.
In the words of Muslim scholar Shamim Siddiqi: “The movement may also seek legal protection from the court for fundamental human rights to propagate what its adherents believe to be correct and to profess the same through democratic, peaceful and constitutional means.” (Emphasis added.)
Recent research indicates that in many mosques across the country the overthrow of the U.S. Constitution is being encouraged in the printed material offered on-site or in the textbooks used in children’s classes, if not directly from the Friday pulpit.
In addition, the 2008 Holy Land Foundation trial in Dallas, Texas, provided evidence that the majority of Islamic organizations in America are affiliates of or associated with the Muslim Brotherhood in some way and many of them are raising funds for jihad. The convictions of all defendants in that case make clear that such behavior is not protected by the First Amendment. And yet, American elites still deal with shariah as just a religious system, when in fact it is as totalitarian a political program as ever were those of communism, fascism, National Socialism, or Japanese imperialism.
Military historians and combat veterans understand that it is far easier to defend against an attack that comes from an enemy outside one’s defensive perimeter. In that case, the defending army need only train its fire outwards and have no fear of fratricide. By contrast, the most difficult attack to defend against is the one that comes from inside the defensive perimeter, because distinguishing the enemy from friendly forces is problematic. That is the situation in America today. We have an enemy inside our perimeter. But for this nation, the challenge is not just an inability to distinguish friend from foe. Rather, it is an unwillingness to do so.

The insinuation of members of the Muslim Brotherhood into many levels of our government is setting America up for conquest by a system of jihad solely intended to transform our country into becoming part of the Islamic Caliphate. Under the Obama administration, the door was opened wide based on the practice of taqqiya (deception through outright lies), a basic principle of Islam.
Note that Team B II revealed that Islam under Shariah is not just a religious ideology that must be protected under our Constitution, but is rather to be avoided. Quoting from the Team B II report, “American elites still deal with shariah as just a religious system, when in fact it is as totalitarian a political program as ever were those of communism, fascism, National Socialism, or Japanese imperialism.”
Political correctness is aiding our enemies!

In the aftermath of the attacks on New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington DC on September 11, 2001, we saw a tremendous surge of patriotism and interest in religion. People filled churches and sought to understand how Christianity might seek God’s intervention. Patriotism, fear and a general anger against evil rose up across the nation. Citizens have historically looked to government to keep the nation safe and it was manifestly unable to do so.
In leading up to the 2016 Election, many thousands and tens of thousands of Christians dropped to their knees in prayer and repentance, citing 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 as their guiding principle:
"When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:13, 14 NIV)
Christians have been earnestly praying during the election process for the bright light of truth to emerge from the darkness of the evil that has overtaken America. Prayer has been voiced under the authority granted by Jesus Christ to resist the Devil and his minions; to thwart the initiatives of demonic agents to interfere with the democratic process, and to seek the Lord’s intervention to confound evil.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people. (Ephesians 6:10-18 NIV)
Last night, it appeared that we have been successful. The candidate with the least known flaws was selected by the people of this nation to become our next President. We must continue to lift up our country’s leaders as they address the multitude of challenges our nation faces. Scripture records exhortations to seek the Lord with every challenge:
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people-- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time. (1 Timothy 2:1-8 NIV)
And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith. (2 Thessalonians 3:2 NIV)
Reading through the book of Judges in the Bible, example after example is cited of people being saved from destruction as they returned to seek God’s intervention and avoid destruction. Every ten to fifty years, God would raise up a righteous person to lead the nation of Israel after they committed themselves to forsake idols and unrighteous behavior. Just about every time, when the immediate danger passed, the people would return to their unrighteous ways. Compromise, complacency, and apathy would become once again the hallmark of the nation as they felt safe again. Then the Lord would allow Israel’s enemies to oppress and attack them.
So it is with America today. We have returned to our former sins of unrighteous tolerance, complacency, and apathy, allowing the acceptance of behaviors and ideas that are foreign to God’s plan. We face threats from ISIS, world finances, initiatives pushing a one-world government, ignorant acceptance of bad science undergirding climate change, and the dangers of the influx of foreigners entering the country illegally without a commitment to assimilate into our culture and values.
So, Christians, we need to continue praying and committing ourselves to intercede for this nation so that it may become great again as a “city on a hill” and beacon light to the world. We dare not let down our guard.
Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. (1 Thessalonians 5:1-8 NIV)
I encourage all Christians to keep short accounts with God, recognizing and repenting of sin as we humble ourselves and pray after the pattern of 2 Chronicles 7:14.
Humility, vigilance, and a warrior's heart are what it will take to survive until the Lord’s return.

This year is not the time to neglect to let your voice be known in the election before us. Despite the antics of both Republican and Democratic candidates, The outcome of this election may usher in a whole new world that none of us are ready for.
In his new book, Is This The End?, Dr. David Jeremiah reminds all Christians that to not vote is to let for forces of evil win and likely initiate the destruction of our country!
I fear the real reason so many Americans and evangelicals do not vote is simple apathy. Yet those non-voters are often the most vocal and critical when elected officials fail to meet their expectations.
The Bible tells us Christians that we are to be salt and light in the world. The time has come for us to let our voices be heard and our votes counted. But make them count responsibly:
• Don't vote your geographical location.
• Don't vote your religious denomination.
• Don't vote your political affiliation.
• Don't vote racial identification.
• Don't even vote your union obligation.
Instead, vote your values. Vote your beliefs. Vote your convictions. If candidates want your vote, let them earn it the old-fashioned way. Let them make commitments to your values, and let them know you intend to hold them responsible. It is my responsibility and yours to participate in the process. If we do not act soon, it may be too late. Let these words of Martin Niemoller, a pastor who lived during the Nazi regime in Germany, cement in your heart and mind the importance of your involvement:
They came first for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up.
I recommend using Dr. Jeremiah’s guidance and vote. Remember 2 Chronicles 7:14. Seek God, and place your trust in Him to guide you as you vote.

Barry Soetoro, also known as Barack “Insane” Obama has partially succeeded in his much vaunted “Change we can believe in,” to “fundamentally transform” the core values of our nation. He has pushed a Marxist ideology that is at the heart of the “Change” and “Transformation.” Mental health professionals recognize the innate mental illness in the policies espoused by Obama.
Diagnostic criteria for 301.81 Narcissistic Personality Disorder
A pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:
(1) has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
(2) is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
(3) believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)
(4) requires excessive admiration
(5) has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations
(6) is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends
(7) lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others
(8) is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her
(9) shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes
Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV)
While the DSM is a fraud, based largely upon opinion and without valid scientific basis, perpetrated by the American Psychiatric Association on a gullible public, it does provide a good narrative description of the behaviors of our top elected official.
Scripture warned the Jews as they returned to the land promised to Abraham from Egypt not to listen to prophets or others who foretells concepts and set up events to fulfill those concepts, often circumventing or outright repudiating the ideology held by our founding fathers. Deuteronomy (Deut. 13:1-4) exhorts the followers of the Lord Almighty to not listen to the false prophets and others who would lead them away from God’s plan.
1 If a prophet, or one who foretells by dreams, appears among you and announces to you a sign or wonder, 2 and if the sign or wonder spoken of takes place, and the prophet says, "Let us follow other gods" (gods you have not known) "and let us worship them," 3 you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The LORD your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 It is the LORD your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him. NIV
Today, Christians and Jews are truly being tested in our loyalty and obedience to the Lord. More and more churches and synagogues are giving way to unbiblical concepts in the name of tolerance and adherence to illegal laws and government policies.
We must pay attention to the assessment of the apostles, “"We must obey God rather than human beings! (Acts 5:29 NIV). Failure to do so will result in additional faith tests from God. We must return to a sound basis for living in today’s culture, not the loopy, unscriptural basis we are being pushed toward.
David Kupellian clarifies the situation we face in his book, The Snapping of the American Mind: Heling a Nation Broken by Lawless Government and Godless Culture. Kupelian’s book should be a must-read for every moral, patriotic American!

Do the math! Did you ever notice . . .
When an X and a Y mate, you get:
- Another X or another Y, but no Z
- Several Xs or several Ys, but no Zs
- One or more Xs or one or more Ys, but no Zs
When two Xs or two Ys try to mate, you get:
- Nothing. No Xs, Ys, or Zs.
Any Zs are created only by man, not God, by modifying God’s perfect creation. So there must be something to the importance of X and Y.
Judeo-Christian scripture, upon which all truth is based, says:
- So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. (Gen. 1:27 NIV)
- He created them male and female and blessed them. And when they were created, he called them "man." (Gen. 5:2 NIV)
- You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you. (Gen. 6:19 NIV)
- Bring out every kind of living creature that is with you-- the birds, the animals, and all the creatures that move along the ground-- so they can multiply on the earth and be fruitful and increase in number upon it." (Gen. 8:17 NIV)
- As for you, be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it." (Gen. 9:7 NIV)

Excerpt [with comments by Dr. Fred Thompson] from the February issue of Dr. David Jeremiah’s Turning Points
In 2010, I knew I couldn't remain quiet. In the wake of the economic upheaval in 200 7-2 00 8, I had already written three books on world-level concerns, looking through a biblical lens. I thought I had said what I needed to. But as I looked around at how rapidly things were changing, I couldn't look the other way. I had to speak out—and this time, sound an alarm.
About what? you ask. About the moral and spiritual state of our world, our nation, our communities, and yes, some churches. I was seeing things in those days that I never thought I would see—a moral and spiritual drift further and further away from biblical standards. I felt we were at a crossroads.
The fruit of that burden was published in 2011—a book titled I Never Thought I'd See the Day!—Culture at the Crossroads. I wrote about topics like militant atheism, Christians missing-in-action in spiritual warfare, the profaning of Jesus in the media, marriage becoming an option, the freefall of morality, the marginalization of the Bible, the increasing irrelevance of the Church, the rise of militant Islam, and America's failure to stand by Israel and why that failure threatens America's future.
By the time the book was published, about five months after turning in the manuscript, I felt there was already more to add! Things are happening so fast in our culture and our world that I could publish a new chapter each month. Think what we have seen just in the last five years—Russia reasserting itself as a global superpower with implications for the prophetic future; the media-fueled barbarity of the so-called "Islamic State" (ISIS); the United States Supreme Court changing the definition of marriage and the trickle-down effects on the definition of family; the White House being decorated with rainbow lights to ally itself with the radical LGBT movement; the demonic rise of mass murders in schools and public venues; the increasing fragility of the world's economic order; the increasing threats to people by droughts, floods, and other climactic weather events; the rising status of true, biblical Christians as the most persecuted and least tolerated minority in the world; the federal government funding an organization that dissects unborn babies and sells their body parts, and more [including infiltration of the Muslim Brotherhood into influential positions in the administration].
Something is going on, dear friends. And we Christians, more than any other people, need to be aware and equipped. We need to be sensitive to the changes God is allowing in our world, and we need to know how to live in the midst of them. We need to know how to be in the world without being of the world—regardless of what costs may come.
In this [February 2016] issue of Turning Points we are going to reprise the theme of the last chapter of I Never Thought I'd See the Day! That chapter is titled, "When Changing Your Mind Could Save Your Life In other words, it is easy to be overwhelmed by what seems to be the deterioration, if not the destruction, of what we have held dear for many generations in America. We are a nation founded on Judeo-Christian values that are being routinely attacked and set aside. We no longer live in a Christ-friendly culture.
More than anything, we need to know how to live actively, not passively, for Christ. We have not been commissioned to live a defensive life but a life on the move. The Great Commission of Christ commands us to go into our neighborhoods and our culture with the Gospel. We are to be heaven's ambassadors, extending the love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control of Christ to those who do not know Him. We are called to be salt and light—to push back the darkness and preserve the flavor of God on this earth.
These are not days of fear and frustration, but of faith! If ever the Church of Christ has needed to take up the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, it is now. God is in control. Christ is Lord over all. The Spirit offers us His gifts, counsel, and fruit. Our task is to embrace our calling, follow the lead of our Lord, and bring light and liberty through the Gospel. Please join me to those ends in this month's issue of Turning Points
